Had a delicious lunch yesterday in Makawao, a small town upcountry. Lots of hippies. One bearded lady. Really nice little place. Decided this is the place we would live if we moved to Maui. This decision changes daily. Then we drove back along the windy northy side on a bit of the Hana highway to see the windsurfers. Wind does interesting things to Holly’s hair.

Finally navigated around Kaanapali hotels to find Black Rock so Max could get his snorkel on. For the second day running, a turtle swam under him within arm’s reach. Max is Hawaii’s Aquaman.
